You’ve been with us as we went on this journey together, and we want to acknowledge not only your feedback on this first day, but your passion and honesty. Behind the studio are people, and it hurts knowing we didn’t hit expectations on release. I’ve Just Bought PMR, Now What!? 25. November 2025 Firstly, thank you and welcome to Project Motor Racing! Project Motor Racing — Update 1.5.0.0 25. November 2025 This update brings major improvements to FFB, physics, vehicle quality, visuals, UGC features, online stability, and overall polish. Thank you for all your feedback! True2Track: How the Surface Fights Back in Project Motor Racing 18. November 2025 True2Track is a tile-based surface evolution system that simulates how a track changes over time due to rain and tyre activity. It models fluid behaviour (water puddles, drainage, evaporation) and rubber dynamics (rubber deposition that increases grip, and rubber marbles that reduce grip). Leaderboards: What To Expect In Project Motor Racing 14. November 2025 Not every race needs rivals in your mirrors. Sometimes it’s just you, a car, a strip of asphalt … and time itself. 2023 Ford Mustang GT3 Comes to Project Motor Racing 13. November 2025 Here’s a fun question. What’s the world’s best-selling coupé? Did you say the Ford Mustang? Okay, here’s another one: When was the last time customer teams in the US, Australia and Europe could run a Mustang in top-level motorsport? (You’ll need to wait until the end to find that one out!) PMR Online Racing: Your Multiplayer Primer 12. November 2025 The wait is almost over. Project Motor Racing’s online ecosystem goes live November 25, and whether you’re a seasoned sim racer or gearing up for your first true competitive experience, here’s what you need to know before you hit the grid. 2002 Cadillac Northstar LMP-02 Comes To Project Motor Racing 11. November 2025 After two seasons developing a Riley & Scott–based prototype for LMP (the Northstar LMP), Cadillac arrived in 2002 with a new, Nigel Stroud–designed Northstar LMP-02 complete with a sharp-edged carbon monocoque and a reworked twin-turbo Northstar V8 that traced its lineage back to GM’s 4L Aurora/IRL projects. 2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5.R Comes To Project Motor Racing 31. October 2025 When Corvette Racing rolled its “Millennium Yellow” C5.Rs to the grid in 2004, the brief was simple: win everything left to win, then hand a clean baton to the incoming C6.R. The Porsche 962C Comes To Project Motor Racing 30. October 2025 By 1988, the Porsche 962C—the Group C evolution of the Porsche 956—was a fully matured Le Mans missile with two Le Mans wins in its trophy cabinet. The works squad built a fresh chassis, 962 010, specifically for the 1988 24 Hours, and it delivered the (almost) full works—pole (3:15.6), fastest lap (3:22.5), and P2 overall. Sebring International Raceway Comes To Project Motor Racing 28. October 2025 Born on the concrete runways of Hendricks Army Airfield, Sebring is a 17-turn, 3.74-mile (6.019-km) endurance crucible—flat, fast (in the places that matter), and ruthlessly brutal. The circuit occupies part of the still-active Sebring Regional Airport, giving it that unmistakable aerodrome character, and hosts IMSA’s Twelve Hours of Sebring. 2023 Cadillac V-Series.R Comes To Project Motor Racing 24. October 2025 Cadillac’s modern prototype comeback arrived in 2023 with the V-Series.R—a Dallara-built LMDh/Hypercar starring a thunderous, naturally aspirated 5.5L DOHC V8 (Cadillac LMC55R) paired to the class-standard hybrid unit. 1989 Audi 90 IMSA GTO 23. October 2025 When Audi pointed its all-wheel-drive guns at IMSA’s GTO class for 1989, it built a silhouette monster that felt like Group B had just crashed an American GT party. The Audi 90 IMSA GTO kept the road-car outline, but underneath it was all race car—spaceframe bones, a turbo five, and the rally-proven quattro AWD putting down over 700bhp of skreiching power. IMSA GTO Comes To Project Motor Racing 21. October 2025 By the late 1980s, IMSA GTO (Grand Touring Over 2.5L) had become America’s loudest GT arms race featuring a dayglo cast of tube-frame silhouettes with massive bodywork, colossal turbos, grunting V8s and stern factory muscle all mixed in with thunder, flares, and a rulebook on the absolute ragged edge of sanity. The 2024 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is in Project Motor Racing 10. October 2025 When the storm clouds rolled over Silverstone last February and the covers finally slipped off Aston Martin’s latest GT3 weapon, no one was left in any doubt about its intent. Six years after the Vantage GT3, Gaydon delivered a machine that wedded true-and-tested brutish twin-turbo violence to a wind-tunnel carved silhouette as slippery as air. Bathurst Comes to Project Motor Racing 8. October 2025 Carved into the slopes above Bathurst, New South Wales, Mount Panorama is 6.213 km of contradictions: a public road that becomes one of the world’s greatest circuits, with 23 corners, a 174 m vertical swing, and gradients as steep as 1:6.13. The Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 Comes to Project Motor Racing 3. October 2025 So let’s get history out of the way. The 2017 Mazda MX-5 Spec Car Comes To Project Motor Racing 29. September 2025 Like the daddy of all spec racing (SCCA’s Sports Renault started in 1984, if you’re counting, though there can be a claim for the ’66 Renault Gordinis)—there’re two things about this kind of racing that matter most: momentum … and the car. The Mazda 787B Comes To Project Motor Racing 24. September 2025 First things first: there’s never going to be a moment, anywhere, anytime, when you drive this legend and think to yourself, “I need more RPM”. Project Motor Racing: Ranked Online, No Subscriptions Required 24. September 2025 So you want to take on the world? The 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) Comes To Project Motor Racing 19. September 2025 Built for customer-racing, the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) was defined by purpose. Development began in 2019, debut was at Spa in 2022, and Porsche rolled their new GT3 out for global GT3 duty in 2023: from IMSA and SRO series to national championships, with Le Mans eligibility from 2024. The 1998 Panoz Esperante GTR-1 Comes to Project Motor Racing 17. September 2025 In the predatory world of sleek, mid-engined prototypes of the late 1990s, Panoz decided to go old school rebellion with the Esperante GTR-1 that hit the scene in 1997 like a battering ram—front-engined American V8 fury wrapped in carbon fibre and ground-juddering defiance. It didn’t just race. It made the ground shake. IMSA Comes To Project Motor Racing 10. September 2025 IMSA—the International Motor Sports Association—was (legend has it) born on the back of a napkin at the 1969 Daytona 500 week. What was on the menu that night may have been lost to the vagaries of time, but over dinner, Bill France Sr. (NASCAR founder) took one look at former SCCA boss John Bishop and his wife, Peggy Bishop’s, hastily scrawled plan to unify American road-racing and wrote a personal cheque on the spot for 75% of stock. The Bishops, meanwhile, would run the new sanctioning body that was incorporated on June 23, 1969. The Porsche 911 GT1 98 Comes To Project Motor Racing 4. September 2025 Through 1996–’97, Porsche’s GT1s were still tube-frame, 911-homologation specials: mid-engined (yes, the lump was ahead of the rear axle), carbon-bodied, steel spaceframe with production-car DNA to satisfy GT rules. Spa Francorchamps Comes to Project Motor Racing 29. August 2025 Tucked into Belgium’s Ardennes Forest, Spa Francorchamps is fast, flowing, and a forever reminder of why we love motorsport. At 7.004 km (half the size of the original layout), it’s a long lap—a sinuous ribbon where you’ll have plenty of time to understand why this circuit rewards commitment and punishes hesitation. Nineteen corners, more than 100 meters of elevation change, and straights long enough to make setup engineers sweat—this is the circuit where a driver’s nerve and a team’s judgment are tested like nowhere else. The 2004 Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT Comes to Project Motor Racing 15. August 2025 By the early noughties, Lamborghini’s history in motorsport had been a spotty affair. The 2004 Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT, however, signalled a turning point in the brand’s modern racing journey. Designed as a GT-spec’ race car, it was Lamborghini’s first serious factory-backed challenger in top-level GT racing in over a decade, and a sensuous effort to bring the fight to many of the world’s biggest motorsport brands. The 2005 Aston Martin DBR9 Comes to Project Motor Racing 13. August 2025 The 2005 Aston Martin DBR9 marked a thunderous return to sports car racing for the storied British marque. Built to GT1 regulations as a competition version of the Aston Martin DB9 road car, the DBR9 combined a howling 6L V12 with a sleek carbon-fibre body to take on the world’s best endurance racers. The Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II Comes to Project Motor Racing 11. August 2025 Since its introduction in 2009, few names in GT3 racing have risen to command as much respect as Audi’s R8 LMS series. A mainstay in endurance racing and sprint championships, the Audi R8 has built a reputation for being one of the most balanced and competitive GT3 cars ever developed. 322 titles across the world from 2009 to 2024 bears testament to that. The Lister Storm GT Comes to Project Motor Racing 8. August 2025 This is a repost of an article previously posted on the Straight4 Studios Website. It has been updated with newer screenshots. 2022 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2 6. August 2025 The 2022 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 Evo2 represents the most refined version yet of Lamborghini’s multi-championship-winning customer race car. Revealed in mid-2022, the Evo2 drew heavily from the Huracán STO road car while evolving the foundation of what is one of the most dominant GT3 runners of the modern era, the 2019 GT3 Evo. Circuit Zolder Comes to Project Motor Racing 4. July 2025 Circuit Zolder, barely 60 minutes east of Brussels and hidden among the poplars and greenery of Limburg province, is the antithesis of Belgium’s other motorsport icon, Spa-Francorchamps, which has always imposed its shadow over Zolder’s fortunes. GT4 In Project Motor Racing: The global Gateway To GT Racing 30. June 2025 GT4 is a homologated category for production-based grand-tourer cars. Introduced in 2007, the class was conceived as an affordable, amateur-friendly counterpart to GT3, using road-car shells, stock powertrains and tightly limited aero. Today a new GT4 must pass the same safety audit as any GT3, but its technical freedom is intentionally narrower, and the homologation is frozen for several seasons to curb costs. YOUR MOTORSPORT CAREER IN PROJECT MOTOR RACING 24. June 2025 Whenever you’re given a blank slate to design a feature-length mode from scratch, simply looking across the aisle and copying someone else’s homework isn’t going to win you a lot of new fans. Sim racing as a hobby has existed for upwards of 40 years(!), and it’s important to pay attention to how the hobby has evolved over time—and with that, the various playstyles and commitment levels. Kyalami Comes to Project Motor Racing 10. June 2025 Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit stands as a revered landmark in motorsport history. Established in 1961, Kyalami has evolved significantly over the decades, but its rich legacy—hosting an array of prestigious international racing events and witnessing numerous memorable moments—has solidified it as one of the world’s premier motor racing venues. The Panoz LMP-1 Roadster S Comes to Project Motor Racing 4. June 2025 Forget what you think you know about prototypes. In 1999, the Panoz LMP-1 Roadster S showed up on the world endurance stage with a fat V8 up front, the driver’s butt practically on the rear axle, and absolutely no intention of playing by any of the rules. The Lola T70 Mk3B GT Comes to Project Motor Racing 29. May 2025 The Lola T70 Mk3B GT needs no introduction to motorsport enthusiasts. If the golden era of endurance racing needed a silhouette, this would surely be it, harking back to a time when innovation, bravery, and raw power defined the sport. The Marcos Mantara LM600 Comes to Project Motor Racing 23. May 2025 In the early 2000s, a dark horse rolled out of a paddock with a nose bent like a pugilist spaceship, a soundtrack straight out of a rock(et) concert, and with about as much visibility from the cockpit as you’d ever need (if you spent most of your time with your eyes wide-shut!). The Audi R8 LMP900 Comes to Project Motor Racing 20. May 2025 When it comes to legends, the 2002 Audi R8 (LMP900) doesn’t just enter the conversation—it owns it. By the time this open-cockpit beast rolled into Le Mans for the third time in 2002, it had already crushed the field twice, and in 2002, it sealed the three-peat with one of the most dominant performances ever witnessed at La Sarthe. Project Motor Racing to Hit the Track this Fall 29. April 2025 Published by GIANTS Software and developed by Straight4 Studios, Project Motor Racing ignites all the passion, beauty and intensity of professional motorsport. The racing simulator will hit the track in fall 2025 with 70+ vehicles from 10 racing classes and 27 scanned, global track layouts. Why Classes and Not Cars 29. April 2025 Don’t collect cars. Collect racing memories... N-GT Comes to Project Motor Racing 24. April 2025 Let’s start at the start—an intro to what many remember fondly as one of the finest racing classes in GT racing history. To start with, the “N” was for National, and the purpose of N-GT was to entice smaller, near-production GT cars (akin to today’s GT2) to enter endurance racing at reduced cost. That formula inspired a handful of “smaller” manufactures to test their mettle against the established big predators (Porsche and Ferrari and BMW): manufacturers like Gillet, Mosler, Morgan, and TVR, each bringing their own unique ideas, colour, and perspectives to GT racing. The 2004 Morgan Aero 8 Comes to Project Motor Racing 23. April 2025 In the early 2000s, the Morgan Motor Company, renowned for its classic British sports cars, embarked on an ambitious journey into the realm of endurance racing with the introduction of the “Aero 8 GTN”. This endeavour marked a significant evolution for the marque, blending its storied craftsmanship with modern engineering to go toe-to-toe in one of the most engaging and competitive endurance series in international motorsport—N-GT. Become a part of the PMR Partner Program 8. April 2025 If you're a SimRacing content creator, you might be interested in the GIANTS Partner Program for Project Motor Racing. With many dedicated creators already part of our network, we provide members with various benefits. Learn how it works! 2004 TVR Tuscan T400R Comes to Project Motor Racing 10. April 2025 The 2004 TVR Tuscan T400R is a carbon-chassis GT racer with an in-house engine, all built on a shoestring, a true British GT contender born from TVR’s Speed 6 legacy. Weighing 1,100 kg and harnessing around 390 bhp from rev-happy 4L inline-6, it tackled international endurance events under N-GT rules. Its front-mid engine, RWD layout exemplifies TVR’s daring engineering spirit. The 2004/’05 GT Class Comes to Project Motor Racing 31. March 2025 The 2004/’05 GT Championship stands out as the sunset of an era that epitomized the raw thrill and camaraderie of GT racing. By 2006, the GT series was already on its way to being replaced by GT3, and by 2009, a decade of brawn and beauty would be consigned to the history books. All that remains now of that fabulous period in GT racing are the memories—and a little sim racing title made by many of the same folk who are developing Project Motor Racing all these years later. The 2004 Mosler MT900R Comes to Project Motor Racing 21. March 2025 The 2004 Mosler MT900R was a track-focused weapon that combined a lightweight body with a 5.7L GM-sourced LS1 V8 engine. Renowned for its aerodynamic design and exceptional handling, it has become a rare, sought-after icon of American performance and engineering ingenuity. HADRON: DEVELOPED FOR PROJECT MOTOR RACING 18. March 2025 So what’s powering the handling you’re going to feel in Project Motor Racing? The internal name at Straight4 is “Hadron”. Hadron is the new modular vehicle dynamics platform developed specifically from the ground-up for Project Motor Racing. Mosport Comes To Project Motor Racing 7. March 2025 Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is a legendary 2.459-mile road course in Bowmanville, Ontario. Since 1961, it has been at the forefront of international motor racing, hosting F1, Can-Am, IMSA and every other class of racing you care to name. Known for its high-speed corners, elevation changes, and sphincter-clenching challenge, Mosport is a GT racing favourite that offers a unique blend of legacy, fear, and adrenaline. The Gillet Vertigo Comes to Project Motor Racing 28. February 2025 The Gillet Vertigo, powered by an Alfa Romeo 3.0-litre V6, is a masterpiece of lightweight engineering and soul. With its feather-light carbon fibre body and thrillingly agile performance, the Vertigo delivers pure driving pleasure, combining raw power with exquisite craftsmanship for an unforgettable and always visceral driving experience. The Saleen S7-R Comes to Project Motor Racing 12. December 2024 The 2004 Saleen S7-R, powered by a 7.0-litre V8, is an American masterpiece of speed, precision, and racing ambition. With 600 horsepower and a lightweight, aerodynamic design, it dominated GT endurance racing, fusing raw power and elegance into a machine built to etch its name into motorsport history. LIME ROCK PARK Comes to Project Motor Racing 12. August 2024 Sportscar racing’s femme fatale? S4 Worked On “Lap of Legends” That Won Awards at Cannes 4. August 2024 What you saw on “Lap of Legends” remained unchanged from the very first day the concept was presented to us, and it’s a testament to the experience and professionalism of The Mill, the documentary filmmakers, that they approached us with such a fully polished idea. Ben Collins, Driving Consultant on Project Motor Racing 25.
