Apex Nova The Racing Venue
Overview
Apex came to life because people really enjoyed Highrock (HC), and that motivated me to create something new and a bit different. While HC was a relatively short, hilly circuit, the longest version of Apex is roughly four times longer. Like HC, Apex is a fictional track.
I took some inspiration from the Nürburgring Nordschleife, which I love because it's such a narrow, unforgiving circuit with very little room for mistakes. I wanted Apex to capture that same feeling. There are virtually no runoff areas, so if you make a mistake, you'll usually pay for it.
One of my main goals was to create a constant sense that something is happening around you—a feeling that you're surrounded by a track that's always trying to catch you out... or even kill you.
The circuit can be driven with any type of car, but it was primarily designed with faster classes in mind, such as JP1, LMDh, Group C, and similar machinery. That said, you're absolutely free to enjoy it with whatever you like.
The original plan was to build only a single layout—the current Long variant. As development progressed, I decided to add extra sectors and connect them to the original layout. In the end, Apex features four layouts: Short – 5 km, Medium – 7 km, Long – 8.5 km, Full – 11.6 km. Although the layouts may seem long, the circuit is actually very fast.
I hope that when Apex is released, people will enjoy it just as much as Highrock and have a great time racing on all of its different layouts.
